MILESH JAIN
Born in India and now based in Porto, Milesh is an artist who left a successful consulting career in the United States to pursue a more creative and sustainable life. Working primarily with discarded materials, he transforms the overlooked into objects of intention, inviting matter to find new meaning and purpose.
Contribution to APPARATUS:
The Cube (2026)
In this exhibition, he presents The Cube a sculptural work crafted from reclaimed wooden crates and pencils.
Rooted in Japanese design principles — Wabi-Sabi (the beauty of imperfection), Kanso (simplicity), Shizen (naturalness), and functionality — the work embodies restraint and authenticity, while maintaining a sense of playfulness and quiet joy.
